What is Makani?
A luxury catamaran week in the Cyclades.
Seven nights, all-inclusive, built around the wind. Six guests, three private cabins, and a route that changes with the weather. Show up in Paros, step on board, and your holiday begins.
Guided to the wind
Akis & Harris know the Meltemi. They take you to the best, least crowded spots each day.
Launch from the boat
A custom stern platform lets you launch and land straight off the catamaran, with tender backup.
All-inclusive, healthy food
Fresh, crew-made Mediterranean meals built for active days. Dietary needs covered with notice.
Kite & wing rentals
Gear sized for the Meltemi on board, foils on request. Bring your own quiver too.
You relax, we handle it
Routing, anchoring, safety and logistics are ours. You just ride, swim and unwind.
Independent riders only
This is not a beginner course. You should already kite or wing on your own.
Why Makani
A better week than the rest of the fleet.
- 6guests
Not 8–10
Other cruises pack the boat. We cap it at six, so the crew, the food and the spots stay personal.
- 7full days
On the water
A genuine week of riding, not five days bookended by travel. More wind windows, more spots.
- €0hidden fees
One clear price
Meals, fuel, port fees, guiding and gear logistics are in. No surprises at the end of the week.
- 100%local crew
Akis & Harris
Born-and-raised hosts who read these waters and make you feel at home from day one.
A day on board
No two days the same.
There's a rhythm, not a timetable — the day follows the wind. And when it takes a break, the adventure doesn't: hidden coves, snorkelling, cliff jumps and lively island towns.
- Morning
Slow start
Breakfast on deck and a look at the wind. We pick where the water's best today.
- On the water
Ride the wind window
Sail to the day's guided spot and session it. Launch straight off the boat.
- Midday
Lunch & a swim
Light, fresh food back on board, then back out — or anchor up for a swim.
- Golden hour
Last laps & sunset
A final session as the wind eases, then dinner as the sun drops.
- After dark
Island nights
Wander a Cyclades town for drinks and dinner, or stay aboard under the stars.
A word from the hosts
We keep Makani small and personal: six guests, shaped day by day around the wind. You arrive in Paros, settle into your cabin, and we handle the route, weather calls, safety, meals and the quiet logistics that make the week feel easy.
Bring your kite or wing and the people you want to share it with. We'll find the best water, launch you off the boat, and make the Cyclades feel like home for a little while.
Guest notes
From past guests
Chasing the wind in different spots everyday, launching directly from the catamaran and the maximum of relaxation for your soul on windless days while discovering hidden beaches and bays. Boat life is a simple life, being one with the elements all day long and living the most passionate version of yourself. The ambience and vibes on the Makani are unique also thanks to their amazing crew. Something difficult to describe but something you have to experience... I haven't been that relaxed and at inner peace in a long time. Thanks to my crew for making it extra special and for having me!
Our yearly week on the Makani has become my favourite tradition and its surely the week of the year that I always look forward to the most. It's like a luxury apartment on the water, that is going to some of the best kite spots in the world. Harris and Akis are the best hosts one could imagine and create an atmosphere that is second to none. I can't recommend this trip enough and can't wait for this summer when we get back to the land of Meltemi, Feta and flat water!
Came out with a crew of friends from Tahoe and honestly, it's hard to beat. You're riding with your people every day, hitting a new spot each morning, then swimming, eating, and swapping stories on deck until sunset. The kiting was incredible - but what made the trip was doing it all together. Harris and Akis made us feel at home from day one.

In Paros (Paroikia). Fly direct to Paros, or via Athens or Mykonos and a short ferry. Meet by 17:00 on departure day; check-out is 10:00 the following Sunday.
What does fully guided mean?
Makani is designed so guests can relax into the experience. The crew takes care of routing, weather decisions, anchoring, safety, meals, and the daily flow of the trip.
What kind of rider is this best suited to?
Makani is best suited to riders who are already comfortable on the water and want access to quality conditions, guided spot choice, and a week built around wind, islands, and life on the boat. Beginner lessons are not part of the trip.
Can non-kiting or non-winging partners join?
Yes. Non-riding guests are absolutely welcome, and many love the trip for the sailing, swimming, beautiful anchorages, island visits, and the overall experience of living on the catamaran.
What is the route?
The itinerary stays flexible and is shaped by the wind and sea state. That freedom is part of what makes the experience special.
What is included?
Accommodation on the catamaran, crew, meals on board, fuel, port fees, cleaning, Wi-Fi, SUP boards, snorkeling gear, and the fully guided experience are all included. Gear rental can be arranged on request.
Can I bring my own gear?
Yes. Guests are welcome to travel with their own equipment, and rentals may also be available depending on what you need.
Can I book a cabin or the whole boat?
Both options are possible. The boat has 3 guest cabins, each sleeping 2 people with its own private bathroom. You can enquire about individual cabins or book the whole boat as a private group, depending on availability.
